FALL FOOTWEAR MUST-HAVES

Milan Street

Now is the time to take stock of your shoe wardrobe to see what worked for this season and which silhouettes will have forward momentum for next year. Low boots will remain a staple. However, watch out for some new materials and treatments. Casual shoes will still reign but there will definitely be a backlash to pretty, sexy, feminine footwear. Here is our list of shoe silhouettes that will carry you into fall/winter 2017/18.

1. Comart 2. Marni 3. Keens 4. CarShoe

Low boots are essential, ranging from strictly utilitarian cold weather lace ups to some kicky speed lace booties in pony fur. Mid-high block heel pull-ons will be the tailored fashion boot option in new colour / material combinations, from patent leather to neoprene.

5. Ermanno Scervino 6. Shiatzy Chen 7. Giuseppe Zanotti 8. Angelo Marani

It’s time to get dressed up! And pointy toe characters are still the ultimate sexy shoe silhouette. Granny lace-up booties have vintage Victoriana charm whereas little ankle boot pull-ons can feature Western details or low kitten heels

9. Miu Miu 10. Jimmy Choo 11. Peter Kaiser

The Mary Jane instep strap pump silhouettes are “must have” dress shoes, newest when featuring powerful strong heels.

12. Fendi 13. Sportmax 14. Stella McCartney

Shoe fashions hit the middle ground with some stable mid-high block heels in different shapes for any silhouette, from oxfords to pumps or sandals.

15. Aquilano Rimondi 16. Creatures of the Wind 17. Casadei

It’s time to move on from ballerinas. The new flats are not totally flat, but have a bit of a lift. They can be dressy, tailored, made of flashy metallic leather, discreet calfskins or pretty two-tone suede.

18. Brunello Cucinelli 19. Versace 20. CarShoe

Man-tailored moccasins remain a timeless design. However, look for some fresh interpretations with new comfort bottoms, chunky mid or high heels. Two-tone kilties add pizzaz.

21. Caprice 22. Robert Clergerie 23. Sergio Rossi

Comfort casuals go glamorous in metallic shades of gold, silver, bronze

24. Alberta Ferretti 25. Mary Kate & Ashely Olson 26. Phillip Lim

Open-back mules move from spring/summer straight into fall/winter. They can be flat, tailored on a strong heel, or they can get dressed up in satin
